Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop June 2019

It's time for Kylie's Demonstrator Training June Blog Hop and this month I am showcasing products from the New 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world as they share their amazing projects.  We are a group of demonstrators sharing ideas and a common goal to help us build and strengthen our businesses through creativity. I hope you enjoy what we have to share this month. 

 For my card design this month, I am showcasing the beautiful Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper (item #149484)  and coordinating Good Morning Magnolia Bundle (item #151087). This lovely clean and simple card design has an elegant feel to it and is suitable for a variety of occasions. The Good Morning Magnolia stamp set (item #149298) contains a variety of beautiful images and versatile sentiments that make it easy to create wonderful projects. I was inspired by a card design that Kylie Bertucci shared recently and couldn't wait to create my own version. 

 To create this card, I chose to use Basic Black cardstock for the card base and added a layer of the designer series paper for my card front. The variety of patterns in this paper pack are simply stunning and it was difficult to choose which design to feature for today's card. The particular design is probably one of my favorites and I love the way the flowers seem to pop off the page. 

For the sentiment, I cut a 1 1/4" x 4 1/4" strip of Whisper White cardstock and heat embossed the sentiment image using Copper embossing powder. I created a matte for this strip with a 1 1/2" x 4 1/4" strip of Basic Black cardstock and attached it to the card front using Snail adhesive. 

 To complete the card design, I stamped the flower bud image with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Copper embossing powder and colored the petals and leaves using Stampin' Blends Markers to mimic the flowers in the designer series paper. I then die cut the flower using the coordinating dies from the Magnolia Memory Dies (item 149578) and attached it to the sentiment with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.  Remember that when you order the stamp set and coordinating dies as a bundle, you save 10%.  

This card is a wonderful example of how you can create simply stunning cards by letting the beautiful designer series paper do all the work for you. From one 12"x12" sheet of designer series paper, you can cut 6 card front size pieces to create 6 beautiful cards. That means that you could create 72 cards from one pack of designer series paper. What a wonderful way to create a variety of cards and get amazing value from you pretty pack.

2019 Kre8tors Blog Hop Dads & Grads

Welcome to the 2019 Kre8tors June Blog Hop and this month our theme is Dads & Grads. Here in the U.S., June is the month for celebrating graduations as well Father's Day. I hope that the projects that we have to share with you this month, will help you to create your own creations for family and friends. 

 I decided to create a non-traditional Graduation card design that would work for both high school and college graduations. Recently I saw a card design by fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrator, Rick Adkins, using the new Daisy Lane Cling stamp set (item #149325) from the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog and it inspired me to create this card design. 

 Rather than using traditional school colors to create my card design, I chose to use Pear Pizzazz and Shaded Spruce for a fresh, clean and simple look. I chose Pear Pizzazz cardstock for the card base and added a layer of Shaded Spruce for the card front. I stamped the fern leaf image several times over the Shaded Spruce cardstock with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Silver embossing powder. I really liked the way the Silver embossing popped against the Shaded Spruce cardstock to create a classically elegant background.

To create the sentiment, I heat embossed a strip of Shaded Spruce cardstock measuring 1 1/4" x 5 1/4" with the small Daisy image and the sentiments from the stamp set, with Silver embossing powder. I layered this strip onto a strip of Pear Pizzazz cardstock measuring 1 1/2" x 5 1/4", and attached the sentiment strip to the card front with Snail Adhesive. To finish off the card design, I added three Silver Pearls from the Metallic Pearls Pack (item #146282), next to the embossed sentiment. 

This design works well as both a masculine and feminine graduation card design and to me, represents the transition from school to the next stage of life.

GSF June Blog Hop Birthday Celebrations

It's time to hop along with the Global Stamping Friends (GSF) June Blog Hop. This month we are celebrating birthdays and sharing our project ideas to help inspire you. After all, we all have a birthday and it is one of the most popular cards that we give to the people we care about. I hope our projects will encourage you to create your own birthday creations for family and friends. 

 My birthday card design features the new Above the Clouds Bundle (item #151135) from the New 2019-2020 Annual Catalog that launched this week. The bundle is made up of the Above the Clouds photopolymer stamp set (item #149404) and Hot Air Balloon Punch (item #149520). When you order both of these products as the bundle, you save 10%. 

 For this card design, I chose Thick Whisper White cardstock for the card base and added a layer of Blueberry Bushel cardstock for the card front. The balloon images in the Above the Clouds stamp set are two step stamps and it makes it easy to color the line images with the solid image stamps. I stamped the line images of the balloons and baskets with Soft Suede Classic ink and stamped the solid images of the balloons using Pineapple Punch Classic ink and Grapefruit Grove Classic ink. For the solid images of the basket, I used Crumb Cake Classic ink. I used the Hot Air Balloon Punch to punch out the stamped images. 

To create the background on the card front, I stamped the row of small balloon line images onto the Blueberry Bushel cardstock with Versamark ink and heat embossed the images with Copper embossing powder. I then attached the Grapefruit Grove Balloon and basket to the card front with Snail Adhesive. I attached the Pineapple Punch balloon and basket using Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up and slightly overlap the other balloon. 

 To create the sentiment, I chose the Perennial Birthday Cling stamp set (item #151240) and heat embossed the Happy Birthday sentiment using Copper embossing powder. I then punched out the sentiment using the Pretty Label Punch (item #143715). I then stamped the label using the clouds image and Balmy Blue Classic ink, stamping it off once to provide a soft silhouette look to the top and bottom of the label. 

This clean and simple card design is perfect as a masculine birthday card or even for a teenager. I love the bold primary colors from the 2018-2020 In Color Collection and how they all work together.

ICS Blog Hop Introducing 2019-2021 In Colors

It's New Catalog time, which means brand new In Colors to explore, as well as fun new products available in the new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. This month the ICS Blog Hop features the 2019-2021 In Colors and we will be sharing fun and creative projects to help inspire you to try these wonderful new colors. 

To create my card design today, I chose to use Seaside Spray and Rococo Rose together. I love this color combination and I added Very Vanilla for a warmer feel to the card design. I paired these colors with the new Free As A Bird Bundle (item #151123) to create this pretty card that is suitable for a variety of occasions. I love that when you purchase the bundle, you save 10%. 

 To create this card, I chose Seaside Spray cardstock for the card base and added a layer of Rococo Rose cardstock to create a frame for the focal design. I used one of the dies from the Stitched Nested Labels Dies (item #149638) to die cut an opening in the Rococo Rose cardstock layer. I love that these dies create a stitched edge on both the inside and outside of the die cut. I used the leaves image from the Free As A Bird stamp set (item #149468) and stamped it onto the Rococo Rose cardstock using Rococo Rose Classic ink to create a tone on tone pattern. 

 To create the focal design, I stamped the birds image onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then chose one of the smaller dies to die cut the image so that it would fit inside the frame with a border around the edge. I colored the image using Stampin' Blends Markers for a soft and pretty look. 

To assemble the card, I added Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the Rococo Rose cardstock frame and attached it to the Seaside Spray cardstock card base. Next, I added Snail Adhesive to the back of the focal image and carefully placed it in the center of the opening and pressed down firmly to attach it to the card base. 

To finish off the card, I created the sentiment using the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set (item #146667) and the Classic Label Punch (item #141491). I stamped the sentiment onto a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock with the Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then punched it out with the punch. I then punched out another piece from a scrap of Seaside Spray cardstock. I trimmed one end of both pieces (making sure it was the same end each piece) and layered them and attached them to the card front with Snail Adhesive. 

For a touch of bling, I added Basic Rhinestones to the sentiment to complete the card design. I love how this clean and simple card design turned out and I look forward to using this color combination again in the future.

Kylie's International Blog Highlight June 2019

Welcome to Kylie's International Blog Highlight for June and this month I decided to experiment with one of the new 2019-2021 In Colors, Seaside Spray, to create my card design. The biggest challenge with this card design was taking photos of it so that you can see how pretty it looks with the Silver embossing. I hope I have been able to capture it well enough for you to enjoy.

I chose to use the wonderful Silver Foil Edged Cards and Envelopes (item #147900) to create my card design and added a layer of Seaside Spray cardstock as the card front. I heat embossed the Dandelion image from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set (item #146747) and the sentiment from the Flourishing Phrases stamp set (item #141534) with Silver embossing powder. I love the elegant look that the silver embossing creates. 

To help bring out the Silver embossing, I lightly sponged around the Dandelion image and the sentiment with Seaside Spray Classic ink and a Sponge Dauber to create a halo look . 

Next I embossed the Seaside Spray cardstock card front using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder to create a soft texture to the background. 

To decorate the edges of the card front, I cut two pieces of the new Very Vanilla 3/8" Scalloped Lace Trim (item #149593) and attached them using Snail Adhesive to create a border on each side of the card front. 

To embellish the card, I added Basic Rhinestones for a touch of bling to finish off the design. I attached the card front to the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals for extra dimension. 

To complete the set, I stamped the Dandelion image onto the front and back of the Silver Foil Edged envelope using Seaside Spray Classic ink. It is such a pretty blue and I can see it becoming a new favorite for me.
