Kylie Bertucci's Monthly International Blog Highlights October 2022

Welcome to Kylie Bertucci's Monthly International Blog Highlights for October and I am so happy to be participating in this blog hop again. You will have the opportunity to visit with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their projects and ideas to help inspire you to create your own beautiful Thank You cards.
Fall is in the air here in Colorado and the leaves are beginning to change. This was my inspiration for my card design today and I tried my best to capture the wonderful colors that I see all around me. I chose to use the Soft Seedlings stamp set from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog and paired it with the Leaf Labels & Amber Gem Combo Pack to create a beautiful Fall Thank You card.
Projects Used:
Soft Seedlings stamp set (item #159905)
Nature's Prints stamp set (item #158793)
Soft Suede Cardstock (item #115318)
Very Vanilla Cardstock (item #101650)
Crushed Curry Classic Ink Pad (item #147087)
Pumpkin Pie Classic Ink Pad (item #147086)
Cherry Cobbler Classic Ink Pad (item #147083)
Old Olive Classic Ink Pad (item #147090)
Crumb Cake Classic Ink Pad (item #147116)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Metallics Embossing Powders (item #155555)
Leaf Label & Amber Gem Combo Pack (item #159969)
Linen Thread (item #104199)
Sponge Daubers (item #133773)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Soft Suede Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Very Vanilla Cardstock
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
1 Leaf Label
This beautiful Fall card features a fun technique using Sponge Daubers and ink pads to create the wonderful variations in color for the leaves. I inked up the leaf images first with Crushed Curry Classic ink and then I added Old Olive ink to the stems, Pumpkin Pie to the tips of the smaller leaves and the edges of the large leaves and finally a slight touch of Cherry Cobbler to the outer edges of the large leaves. These stamps are DistInktive stamps, so they have wonderful detail that gives them a realistic look. For the background, I stamped the splatter image from the Nature's Prints stamp set, using Crumb Cake Classic ink, making sure to stamp off once on a scrap piece of paper for a more muted look. For the sentiment label, I embossed one of the Leaf Labels with the sentiment from the Nature's Prints stamp set, using Gold embossing powder. I sponged the edges of the leaf die cut with Crumb Cake ink to give it more depth and dimension. To create the card design, I wrapped a piece of Linen Thread twice around the center of the stamped card front and tied a bow on the right side. I attached the leaf label to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up over the Linen Thread. To complete the card, I added several of the Amber Gems to the sentiment leaf and card front for a touch of bling. I just love how these warm colors blend together to create a beautiful Fall design.

Stamping Inkspirations May Blog Hop Sketch Challenge

Welcome to the Stamping Inkspirations May Blog Hop and this month we have a Sketch Challenge to share with you. Our talented Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas using the sketch below to help inspire you to get creative.
I love creating clean and simple card designs, so this card sketch fits well with my style of card making. For the background, I chose one of the designs from the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper and used the Scalloped Contours Dies to create the layers for the focal image. I love how Navy and White look together and how the Night of Navy cardstock helps make the card design pop. Heat embossing is one of my favorite techniques, so I used it to emboss the leaf image from the Nature's Prints stamp set and the sentiment from the Celebrating You stamp set. I chose to create a Thank You card but you could use this design for a variety of occasions.
Products Used:
Nature's Prints stamp set (item #158793) New
Celebrating You stamp set (item #158028)
Scalloped Contours Dies (item #155560)
Stylish Shapes Dies (item #159183) New
Heart & Home Designer Series Paper (item #157928)
Night of Navy Cardstock (item #100867)
Basic White Cardstock (item #159276)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Basics Embossing Powders (item #155554)
Mini Stampin' Dimensionals (item #144108)
Measurements:
Night of Navy Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Medium & Small Scalloped rectangles die cut with the Scalloped Contours Dies
Sentiment Label die cut with Stylish Shapes Dies
Basic White Cardstock
Rectangle Layer - 3 3/16" x 1 7/8"
Heart & Home Designer Series Paper
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
This clean and simple card design is all about the layers. The combination of Night of Navy and Basic White cardstock adds a simply Wow factor to this design with the multiple layers. I just love the beautiful design in the designer series paper for the background and the texture it adds to the card front. The White embossing for the focal image and sentiment tie in with the color combination to finish off the design. I used Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to pop up the sentiment and the middle layer of the focal image to add dimension to the design.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to create your own beautiful cards using this sketch. Sketches are a great way to spark your creativity by providing you with a road map to help you get started.
