ICS August Blog Hop Sale-a-bration

Welcome to the ICS August Blog Hop as we showcase products from the Sale-a-bration Catalog. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! Demonstrators as they share their projects and ideas to help inspire you to explore the products in the Sale-a-bration Catalog.
For my card design today, I decided to showcase the beautiful Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper, which is one of the products you can earn for free during Sale-a-bration with a qualifying order of $50. I love the country Christmas feel that you get with the designs in this paper pack and I wanted to try creating a masculine card that would work for a non-holiday occasion. I paired it with the deer image from the Nature's Beauty stamp set and the Tailor Made Tags Dies. The colors I chose for this design include Evening Evergreen and Sahara Sand with a hint of Copper with the embossing of the sentiment.

Large tag die cut with Tailor Made Tags Dies
Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper
Background Layer - 5 1/4" x 4"

This clean and simple card is simple to create and the tag makes a great focal point for the design. I love how the designer series paper gives the feeling of a forest that fits perfectly with the deer image.  Masculine cards don't need a lot of embellishment, so I chose to use a small piece of the Evening Evergreen Ribbon to tie at the top of the tag and I tied a bow around the ribbon with Linen Thread to finish it off. I popped the tag up with Stampin' Dimensionals and I heat embossed the sentiment from the Handsomely Suited stamp set with Copper Embossing Powder to help it stand out against the Evening Evergreen cardstock. I really love the designs in the Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper and I can see lots of amazing possibilities to create cards for a variety of occasions with the beautiful patterns in this pack.

GSF June Blog Hop

It's time to hop along with the GSF June Blog Hop with our theme this month being Outdoors. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! Demonstrators from around the world as they share their wonderful projects showcasing products from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. I hope that our ideas help inspire you to explore the great outdoors.
Living in Colorado, when I think about the outdoors, I think of the wonderful wildlife that we have in our state. So I decided to create a card design using the Nature's Beauty stamp set (item #150528) to create a nature themed card in earthy colors.
To create this card, I chose Early Espresso cardstock for the card base and I added a layer of Crumb Cake cardstock for the background layer. I embossed a 2" x 5 1/4" Old Olive cardstock using one of the new Greenery Embossing Folders from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. I love the leafy impression this embossing folder adds to the background for a wonderful touch of texture. I attached this piece to the left side of the Crumb Cake cardstock and added a piece of the new Early Espresso 1/4" Faux Suede Trim to cover the seam.
The focal image was created by stamping the fox image from the Nature's Beauty stamp set with Soft Suede Classic ink onto a Whisper White cardstock circle, die cut using the Stitched Shapes Dies (item #152323). I colored the image using a Cajun Craze, Old Olive and Balmy Blue Watercolor Pencils and blended the color using a Blender pen to smooth out the pencil lines. I attached the circle to an Early Espresso scalloped circle die cut using the Layering Circles Dies (item #151770) and attached it to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set (item #150285) using Gold Embossing Powder onto a scrap of Early Espresso cardstock. I then die cut the sentiment using the Stitched Rectangles Dies (item #151820) and attached it to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. To finish off the card design, I attached the card front to the card base using Stampin' Dimensionals for extra dimension. This card design is wonderful for a nature lover and would also be a great masculine card design.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design inspires you to create your own projects that reflect the wonders of the great outdoors. There are so many wonderful possibilities to explore.

Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop October 2019

Welcome to Kylie's Demonstrator Training Program's Monthly Blog Hop. This is our first hop for the new training year and I am excited to participate with all these amazing, talented Stampin' Up! demonstrators as we share our creative projects to help inspire you. I hope that you will enjoy our blog hop today.
Today's card design has a wonderful "back to nature" feel to it using the beautiful Nature's Beauty stamp set (item #150528) from the 2019 Holiday Catalog. This amazing stamp set has a special meaning as it is part of Stampin' Up!'s Making a Difference program, with $3 from every stamp set sold going to designated Mental Health Organizations globally. Mental Health has always been something very important and personal for me and my family, so this stamp set has special meaning.
I wanted to create a card design that would be suitable as either a masculine or feminine card, so I paired the Nature's Beauty stamp set with the lovely Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper (item #149500) from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. The designs in this paper pack have a wonderful organic feel and I love the texture and variety of patterns available. I chose this leaf background design for my card as it gave me a feeling of peace which I thought worked well with the stamp set.
The card base was created using Early Espresso cardstock and I added the layer of designer series paper to create the background for the card front. I stamped the deer image using Versamark ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock and heat embossed it with Copper Embossing powder. I die cut the image using the Stitched Nested Labels Dies (item #149638) and layered it onto a larger piece of Early Espresso cardstock die cut from the same set of dies.
To add some texture to the card design, I added a piece of 5/8" Burlap Ribbon (item #140487) to the designer series paper, fraying the ends for a more rustic look. I attached the focal image over the top of the burlap ribbon with Stampin' Dimensionals to add dimension to the design. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set (item #151331) with Copper Embossing powder onto a scrap of Very Vanilla cardstock. I punched it out using the Classic Label Punch (item #141491) and added a matte to frame this label by punching out another label from Early Espresso cardstock and cutting it in half. I attached each half to the back of the Very Vanilla Label using Snail Adhesive so that the ends extended past the sentiment label. To add a touch of bling, I colored two Basic Pearls with the Light Old Olive Stampin' Blends Marker and attached them to the sentiment. Using Stampin' Dimensionals, I attached the sentiment to the card front below the focal image.
This card design can be used for a variety of occasions and I love the peaceful feeling to this design. I hope that you have enjoyed my ideas today and perhaps inspired you to create your own projects.
