What's New at SU Sale-a-bration Blog Hop

It's time to hop along with the What's New At SU Sale-a-bration blog hop as we get ready to say goodbye to Sale-a-bration for another year. Don't worry, you still have time to earn Free products during Sale-a-bration with a qualifying order, but make sure you place your orders by March 31st to avoid disappointment.

You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world as they share their wonderful projects to help inspire you to get creative. You may have just visited Pia's blog or perhaps you are starting your journey with me. I hope that you will enjoy what we have to share with you today.
Today I thought I would share with you a clean and simple card design that requires just a few simple supplies and uses not 1 but 2 different Sale-a-bration products. I used the Gold Foil Edged Card (item #147901) for my card base and I added a layer of Fresh Fig cardstock that I used for my focal layer.
I stamped the large floral lattice image from the Sale-a-bration Level 1 stamp set, Lovely Lattice (item #149730), with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Gold embossing powder. I then added the sentiment from the Part Of My Story Sale-a-bration Level 1 stamp set (item #149719) and heat embossed it with Gold embossing powder as well.
To finish off the card design, I added some Gold Metallic Pearls (item #146282) to the centers of several of the flowers for a touch of bling.  As you can see, this card design has a classical elegance to it that would be perfect for a Wedding or special birthday.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today and I hope that you have enjoyed my card design. Now it's time to visit Diane's blog and see what she has to share with us this month. Just click the Next button to visit her blog or you can click the Previous button to view Pia's blog. I hope that you enjoy the rest of our blog hop today.

Both of these wonderful stamp sets can be earned for Free during Sale-a-bration. Remember, you have until March 31st to take advantage of the great rewards during Sale-a-bration. If you live in the U.S. and you don't already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to help you.

Ink. Stamp. Share December Blog Hop

Welcome to December's Ink. Stamp. Share. Blog Hop as we prepare to see in the New Year with a color challenge. When you think of the New Year you think of new possibilities and opportunities and that is how I see this month's challenge. You will be visiting Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world as we share our project ideas using the colors in the image below.

I love how bright and vibrant the colors are for this month's challenge and I wanted to use them with a new stamp set that will be available to earn for Free during Sale-a-bration, beginning January 3rd, 2019, with a qualifying order.  The Lovely Lattice stamp set is so pretty and detailed and I knew that I wanted to color the flowers with the colors from the challenge.
I chose Night of Navy cardstock for the card base and added a layer of Pacific Point cardstock as a matte for the Whisper White layer of cardstock that I chose for the focal point of my card design. I stamped the large image with Versamark ink and heat embossed it with Gold Embossing powder. I just love the antique feel that that the embossing adds to the design.

Using an Aquapainter, I colored the flowers using Pacific Point, Berry Burst and So Saffron Classic inks and I used Garden Green Classic ink to color the leaves. I added a soft watercolor wash around the edge of the design using Pacific Point Classic ink to add a little dimension to the design. The sentiment is from the new Butterfly Gala stamp set that will be available in the new 2019 Occasions Catalog. I heat embossed it with Gold embossing powder to coordinate with the floral image. I love how these colors work together to create this beautiful card design that would make a wonderful birthday card.

Thank you for visiting my blog today. I hope my card has helped inspire you to try these colors with your projects and experiment with different ways you can use these colors. Remember the New 2019 Occasions Catalog and 2019 Sale-a-bration Catalog launch on January 3rd, 2019. If you would like a copy of the catalogs and you live in the U.S. and don't already have a demonstrator, please contact me and I would be happy to send them to you.
