Around The World On Wednesday February Blog Hop Sketch Challenge

Welcome to the Around the World on Wednesday February Blog Hop and this month we have a Sketch Challenge to help spark our creativity. Our wonderful Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to give this sketch a try. There are so many wonderful options to explore.
For this month's Sketch Challenge, I decided that I wanted to combine one of my favorite bundles from the January-April 2025 Mini Catalog with one of the Level 1 Sale-a-bration Rewards to show how you can create a beautiful clean and simple card for Valentine's Day and beyond.
It is miserably cold here in Colorado at the moment, so I thought I would create a pretty card to help brighten someone's day and help them look forward to Spring. I chose one of the gorgeous designs from the Bloom Impressions Designer Series Paper, a Level 1 Sale-a-bration Reward you can earn Free with a qualifying order. I paired it with the fun Hugs For Love Bundle which combines the wonderful stamp set with the coordinating punch to help you create clean and simple cards.

Often when we think of Valentine's Day, we focus on romantic card designs for our partners or cute designs for our kids. For today's card design, I wanted to create a card that would be perfect to give to anyone who could use a hug to help them get through these cold Wintery days and hopefully make them smile. The floral card front reminds me of cherry blossoms and I love how the combination Melon Mambo and Peach Pie work together to create a fresh, pretty design. I created the elements to recreate the sketch using three narrow strips of Melon Mambo cardstock and a medium Basic White circle to frame the sentiment label. I used the Hugs For Love Bundle to stamp and punch out the sentiment label and popped it up onto the circle with Stampin' Dimensionals to add some dimension. I used a piece of the Peach Pie Bordered Ribbon to create the pretty bow and added several of the Peach Pie Shimmer Gems for a touch of sparkle.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card design will help inspire you to give this card sketch a try and see what you can create with the supplies in your craft stash. It is so much fun mixing and matching products from the new January-April 2025 Mini Catalog and 2025 Sale-a-bration Catalog to create beautiful projects.

Around The World On Wednesday January Blog Hop This Or That

It's time to start off the Around The World On Wednesday January Blog Hop with a fun This or That Challenge to help spark your creativity. Our wonderful Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help show you different possibilities to see if you prefer This or That.
With the new January-April 2025 Mini Catalog going live yesterday, I thought this challenge would be the perfect opportunity to show how to create two different cards using two of the new products from the new mini catalog. I chose to showcase the new Hugs For Love Bundle with the Timeless Plaid 6"x6" Designer Series Paper to create two clean and simple card designs that would work for Valentine's Day or just as a way to let someone know that you care about them. The "This" card design combines Misty Moonlight and Boho Blue for a more masculine feel while the "That" card design combines Moody Mauve with a touch of Pretty In Pink for a more feminine look. I love that the Hugs For You Bundle combines a wonderful range of sentiments and images that work perfectly with the coordinating punch to take the stress out of creating.

Making clean and simple cards would have to be one of my favorite things, especially when I want to create a bunch of them in a short span of time. It's a great technique whether you are a beginner or an experienced crafter. For both of my card designs, I chose to go with a monochromatic color scheme and I love the more muted colors of Moody Mauve and Misty Moonlight for this time of year. To create the background layer for each of the sentiment labels, I cut the colored label in half and then attached it to the back of the sentiment label so that it creates a slim frame. For a touch of bling, I chose to use the Tinsel Gems Four Pack which has pink and blue gems that coordinate perfectly with the designer series paper to complete both cards.
So which do you prefer? This or That? I would love it if you would let me know in the comments.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog. I hope that my card designs will show you how much fun you can have by mixing and matching different products to come up with your own beautiful designs. There are so many wonderful options to explore in the new January-April 2025 Mini Catalog.
