We Create December Blog Hop Happy Holidays

It's December which means it's time to hop along with the We Create Blog Hop as we celebrate Happy Holidays for this month's theme. It's hard to believe we are at the end of 2020 and what a year it has been for us all. You will be visiting with talented Stampin' Up! Demonstrators as they share their projects and ideas to help you celebrate the Holidays and finish off the year on a positive note.
My card design today is a fun traditional style Christmas card featuring the Christmas Means More stamp set (item #154730) combined with the Tis The Season 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #153489) from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. I love the vintage feel of the designer series paper and the large sentiment that makes the perfect focal image for this card design. With a little embellishing, it is a perfect way to create beautiful cards without a lot of fuss.
Products Used:
Christmas Means More stamp set (item #154730)
Tis The Season 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #153489)
Cherry Cobbler Cardstock (item #119685)
Shaded Spruce Cardstock (item #146981)
Stitched Shapes Dies (item #152323)
Layering Circles Dies (item #151770)
Silver Embossing Powder (item #109131)
Wonder Of The Season Ribbon Combo Pack (item #153537)
Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels (item #146924)
Measurements:
Shaded Spruce cardstock card base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2"
(Scored at 4 1/4")
Cherry Cobbler cardstock layer - 5 1/4" x 4"
Tis The Season Designer Series Paper layer - 5" x 3 3/4"
Shaded Spruce cardstock for sentiment circle die cut with Stitched Shapes Dies
Cherry Cobbler cardstock for scalloped circle die cut with Layering Circles Dies
This card design is simple to assemble which makes it a great design for creating multiples to send out to friends and family. The designer series paper layer is attached to the Cherry Cobbler cardstock layer with Stampin' Seal Adhesive and then these layers are attached to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals. The sentiment from the Christmas Means More stamp set was heat embossed with Silver Embossing Powder to step up the card design and was attached to the Cherry Cobbler scalloped circle die cut with Stampin' Seal Adhesive. The beautiful Shaded Spruce !" Argyle Satin Ribbon from the Wonder of the Season Combo Ribbon Pack, coordinates perfectly with the designer series paper and I added a piece across the width of the card front and added the sentiment on top with Stampin' Dimensionals. The bow was added with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals below the sentiment to finish off the design. I added Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the sentiment to create the holly berries for a touch of bling.
With the supplies I used to create this card, you could create a variety of designs using the beautiful papers in the Tis The Season 6"x6" Designer Series and the wonderful sentiments in the Christmas Means More stamp set. It's a wonderful way to create beautiful cards to send out to the special people in your life.

New At SU November Blog Hop Happy Holidays

Welcome to the New At SU November Blog Hop and this month our theme is Happy Holidays. Our team of creative Stampin' Up! Demonstrators will be sharing their creative ideas and projects to help inspire you to create you own wonderful projects for the holidays to share with family and friends.
Today I thought I would share a clean and simple Christmas card featuring the Christmas Means More stamp set (item #154730) combined with the Tis The Season 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #153489) from the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog. I love the old fashioned traditional feel of the patterns in this designer series paper and how well the designs coordinate with this fun stamp set. The beautiful big sentiments are great as a focal point for creating simple Christmas cards that have a Wow factor.
Products Used:
Christmas Means More stamp set (item #154730)
Tis The Season 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #153489)
Stitched Shapes Dies (item #152323)
Layering Circles Dies (item #151770)
Wrapped In Texture Embossing Folders (item #153574)
Cherry Cobbler Cardstock (item #119685)
Garden Green Cardstock (item #102584)
Whisper White Cardstock (item #100730)
Silver Foil Sheets (item #132178)
Silver Embossing Powder (item #109131)
Snowflake Splendor 1/4" Ribbon (item #153548)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Stampin' Seal (item #152813)
Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #154880)
Just Jade Stampin' Blends Combo Pack (item #153107)
Measurements:
Cherry Cobbler Cardstock Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Garden Green Cardstock Layer - 5 1/4" x 4"
(Embossed with the Wrapped In Texture Embossing Folders)
Cherry Cobbler Cardstock Strip - 2 1/4" x 4"
Tis The Season 6"x6" Designer Series Paper Strip - 2" x 4"
Whisper White Cardstock - For large circle die cut with Stitched Shapes Dies
Silver Foil Sheet - For large scalloped circle die cut with the Layering Circles Dies
This card design is easy to create and assemble and would be wonderful for creating multiple cards and you can use different sentiments from the Christmas Means More stamp set and different patterns from the Tis The Season 6"x6" Designer Series Paper to add variety to your cards. I love how the Silver Embossing steps up this card design and I added a touch of color by coloring in the bells with the Light Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends Marker and the Dark Just Jade Stampin' Blends Marker. To emboss the Garden Green cardstock layer, I embossed one half of the cardstock and then embossed the other half, matching up the embossing so that the join doesn't show. The great thing is that it is covered up by the decorative strip so it really isn't noticeable. I embellished the card design by coloring a piece of the Snowflake Splendor Ribbon with the Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends Marker and then tied a bow with it. I added it to the base of the sentiment circle with a Mini Stampin' Dimensional. I love the old fashioned look of this Christmas card and the sentiment is one that people will readily recognize and is sure to make them smile.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my Christmas card design will help inspire you to create your own fun cards to send to family and friends. In this crazy time, something as simple as a Christmas card can make all the difference in someone's life.  There are so many wonderful products in the August-December 2020 Mini Catalog to choose from to help you with your Holiday projects.
