ICS April Blog Hop Farewell 2022-2024 In Colors

It's time to say farewell to the retiring 2022-2024 In Colors as our theme for the ICS April Blog Hop. Our Design Team members will be showcasing projects created with at least one of these beautiful colors - Parakeet Party, Sweet Sorbet, Orchid Oasis, Starry Sky and Tahitian Tide. I must admit, these have been some of my favorite colors to use over the past 2 years and I will miss them when the retire at the end of April.

For my card design today, I just had to use my favorite color, Orchid Oasis and I paired it with Starry Sky to create this beautiful monochromatic birthday card. To help step up the design, I chose to use the Orchid Oasis Textured Specialty Paper to add a soft shimmer to the design and I die cut the card front with one of the Two Tone Flora Dies to create this wonderful, detailed design. This card design features some of my favorite retiring products, including the Go To Greetings stamp set and the Tailor Made Tags Dies. They are perfect for creating cards for a variety of occasions and a greet staple in your stamping tool kit.

Card Front - 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" die cut with the Two Tone Flora Dies

This pretty birthday card is all about the beautifully detailed card front created using one of the Two Tone Flora Dies. By layering the Orchid Oasis card front onto the Starry Sky card base, it brings out all the wonderful detail of the floral images to create an elegant card design. I love the soft shimmer the Orchid Textured Specialty Paper adds to the card to help make it extra special. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the birthday sentiment from the Go To Greetings stamp set, using Silver embossing powder onto the Starry Sky tag. To step up the card design, I added a simple bow created with the Orchid Oasis Metallic Woven Ribbon to the sentiment tag and several Iridescent Pearls that I colored with the Dark Tahitian Tide Stampin' Blends Marker. I love how this card design turned out and I think it's the perfect way to say goodbye to one of my favorite colors.
