Paper Pumpkin Possibilities October Blog Hop Home For The Holidays

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities October Blog Hop as we showcase alternative projects created with the October Paper Pumpkin Kit, Home For The Holidays. Our wonderful Design Team will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to think outside the box.

For my alternative card design, I wanted to use the Horse & Sleigh Bundle to create a clean and simple Christmas card. I chose to use the horizontal card base from the kit that has a wonderful Winter scene that works perfectly with the horse and sleigh die cut. I embossed the image using White embossing powder onto Night of Navy cardstock to create a kind of silhouette look that gave the appearance of a couple take an evening ride. To coordinate, I heat embossed the sentiment, using one of the images from the exclusive stamp set in the kit and die cut it out using one of the dies from the Timeless Arrangements Dies. I love that I was able to create this card using supplies from the kit plus a few extra supplies I had in my stash.

Sentiment Label die cut with the Timeless Arrangements Dies

This clean and simple card design is easy to create and focuses on heat embossing to help step up the design. I heat embossed both the sentiment and the horse and sleigh image using White embossing powder onto Night of Navy cardstock before die cutting them out. I added the horse and sleigh towards the bottom of the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals from the kit to create the foreground image. For the sentiment, I used Stampin' Dimensionals to add the label to the top left corner of the card base and then added several Basic Rhinestone Jewels to create the sparkle of stars in the night sky.
