Stamping Inkspirations February Blog Hop Love Is In The Air

It's time to hop along with the Stamping Inkspirations February Blog Hop as we celebrate the theme, "Love Is In The Air". With Valentine's Day just hours away, I hope that our projects and ideas help inspire you to create your own beautiful projects from the heart.
Often when we think of Valentine's Day, we think of romantic love but today I wanted to share a card I designed that was inspired by my daughters. The Hearts & Kisses Bundle (item #156201) from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog is perfect for creating fun card designs with a touch of "sassitude", a word that I would use to describe both of my girls and their approach to life. Watching them grow up into the beautiful young women that they have become, has been an emotional journey full of pride and I wanted this card to reflect that. I paired this bundle with one of the designs from the 2019-2021 In Color 6"x6" Designer Series Paper Pack (item #153071) and the Ornate Layers Dies (item #152726). I love Rococo Rose and while neither of my girls could be described as "pink lovers" I felt like this color added a modern feel to the design.
Products Used:
Hearts & Kisses Bundle (item #156201)
Ornate Layers Dies (item #152726)
2019-2021 In Color 6"x6" Designer Series Paper (item #152726)
Rococo Rose Cardstock (item #150882)
Basic Black Cardstock (item #121045)
Blackberry Bliss Classic Ink Pad (item #147092)
Versamark Pad (item #102283)
Gold Embossing Powder (item #109129)
Black 3/8" Glittered Organdy Ribbon (item #147897)
Gold Glitter Enamel Dots (item #152155)
Stampin' Dimensionals (item #104430)
Measurements:
Rococo Rose Cardstock
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" (Scored at 4 1/4")
Piece for the stamped images from the Hearts & Kisses stamp set
Basic Black Cardstock
Matte Layer - 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"
Sentiment Layer die cut with the Ornate Layers Dies
Rococo Rose Designer Series Paper Layer - 5 1/4" x 4"
This stepped up clean and simple card design is easy to create and can work for a variety of occasions. I love how the Gold embossing pops against the Basic Black cardstock for the sentiment and the way it adds detail to the background on the Rococo Rose Designer Series Paper. I stamped the lips and lipstick images from the Hearts & Kisses stamp set with Blackberry Bliss Classic ink onto Rococo Rose cardstock, fussy cutting the lipstick and punching out the lips with the coordinating Kiss Punch. I added the sentiment label to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals, positioning at an angle. I added the punched out lips to the bottom left corner of the sentiment label with adhesive and attached the lipstick to the bottom left corner of the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I colored both of these images with Clear Wink of Stella for a touch of shimmer. To embellish the card design, I added three small Gold Glitter Enamel Dots to the sentiment label and added a piece of the Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon, folded in half, underneath the label so that it peeks out from under the right bottom corner.
