We Create Mother May I Blog Hop

Welcome to the We Create Mother May I Blog Hop as we showcase ideas to celebrate our mothers. With Mother's Day just over a week away, now is the perfect time to create your own beautiful projects to celebrate the occasion.
For my card design today, I chose not to use a stamp set but instead combined the Stitched Be Mine Dies (item #148527) with the Hand Lettered Prose Dies (item #149550) to create this pretty card. I chose the pretty Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper (item #151192) to create the soft background for my card design. I love that the letters in the Hand Lettered Prose Dies gave me the ability to customize my card and the font worked beautifully with the Stitched Be Mine Dies.
I chose to use Petal Pink cardstock for my card base and added a layer of the floral Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper to create the background. To create the heart, I die cut one of the scalloped hearts from Petal Pink cardstock and one from Pool Party cardstock. I embossed the Pool Party cardstock heart using the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder (item #149634) to add soft texture to the background and I layered it inside of the scalloped Petal Pink scalloped heart frame, attaching both to the card front with Snail Adhesive.
To create the sentiment, I die cut two of the letter "m" and one of the letter "u" from Silver Foil using the Hand Lettered Prose Dies and attached them to the heart die cut using Snail Adhesive. I also die cut one of the detailed florals from the Stitched Be Mine Dies from Silver Foil and attached it to the bottom of the heart with Snail Adhesive.
To complete the card design, I embellished the card front with Basic Rhinestones to add a touch of bling. I really love how this card design turned out and it is a great example of how you can create a project without using stamps and how dies can give you the opportunity to personalize your card design. The Hand Lettered Prose Dies and Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper are both on the Last Chance Retirement List, so I would recommend ordering them as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. They are such versatile products and a great addition to your crafting stash.
