When the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog first came out, I fell in love with the Parisian Blossoms Suite (item #153934) and in particular the Parisian Beauty Bundle (item #153778). My family and I were blessed to have the opportunity to visit Paris several times and have wonderful memories of our time there. It's been a while since I have played with this bundle so I decided to get it out and show it some love. I paired it with the coordinating Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder (item #151474) which is also part of the Parisian Blossoms Suite. I love the detail of this beautiful embossing folder and just had to ink up the inside of the folder to create this amazing background.
To create the card design, I started with a Basic Black cardstock card base and added a layer of Rococo Rose cardstock that I embossed by inking up the inside of the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder (item #151474) with Rococo Rose Classic ink and ran it through my Big Shot. I love the way this technique transfers the ink to color the background and enhance the detail of the embossing. I attached this layer to the card base with Snail Adhesive.
For the oval, I used the largest oval from the Layering Ovals Dies (item #141706) to die cut the oval from Rococo Rose cardstock and I heat embossed several of the images from the Parisian Beauty stamp set (item #151466) using Shimmer Black Embossing Powder, to create a collage look. To create the swirls, I die cut one of the swirls using the die from the Parisian Dies (item #151463) from Basic Black cardstock and snipped it into two pieces. I attached the larger swirl to the top right corner and the smaller piece to the bottom left corner. I attached the embossed oval layer on top of the swirls, centering it onto the card front, using Snail Adhesive.
The Eiffel Tower die cut image was die cut from Basic Black cardstock and attached to the card front using Snail Adhesive. I placed it such a way that overlapped the embossed circle, but was more towards the left side of the card front. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image using Whisper White Embossing Powder onto a scrap of Basic Black cardstock and I used the long thin rectangle die from the Stitched Rectangles Dies (item #148551) to die cut the sentiment label. I attached the sentiment label to the card front using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. For a touch of bling, I colored Basic Rhinestones with the Dark Basic Black Stampin' Blends Marker and attached them to the card front. I love the vintage look that the embossed background creates for this card design and the combination of Basic Black and Rococo Rose is so elegant.
