Joy of Sets March Blog Hop Easter/Spring

Welcome to The Joy of Sets March Blog Hop as we celebrate Easter and Spring. We will be sharing creative projects and ideas to help inspire you to create your own cards and projects for Spring.
My card combines both Spring and Easter to create this sweet design. I chose to use the Welcome Easter stamp set (item #151559) and Under My Umbrella Bundle (item #153786) from the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog with pretty Spring colors.
To create my card design, I started with a Thick Whisper White card base and added a layer of Soft Sea Foam cardstock for the background. Looking back, if I had to do this card design again, I would choose a soft blue for the background to give the look of the sky, but at the time, I wasn't thinking that far ahead. I stamped the bunny and chick images from the Welcome Easter stamp set onto Whisper White cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored in the images using Stampin' Blends Markers. Next, I fussy cut out the two images and attached Mini Dimensionals to the back of both of them.
For the grass along the bottom of the card design, I used a piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock that had been die cut with the grass die from the Special Days Dies (item #153587) and added small flowers die cut using the Sending Flowers Dies (item #153589), both which are a part of the Coordination Product Release that ends March 31st.
To create the sentiment, I heat embossed the image onto Whisper White cardstock with Silver Embossing Powder and die cut it using one of the oval dies from the Layering Ovals Dies (item #151771) and layered it onto a scalloped oval die cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock using a die from the same set. I attached the sentiment to the card base in the top left corner using Snail adhesive and added some of the small flower die cuts to embellish it. I attached the bunny and chick images to the card front on either side of the card so that they appear to be sitting on the grass.
To complete the card design, I stamped the handle of the umbrella from the Under My Umbrella stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and punched it out using the coordinating Umbrella Builder Punch. I also punched out an umbrella from the Pleased As Punch Designer Series Paper (item #153558). I attached the handle using Snail Adhesive to the card front near the chick's wing and added the umbrella with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals on top of the handle to complete the umbrella. To finish off the card design. I added Basic Rhinestones for a touch of bling to the center of some of the flowers.

Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design helps inspire you to have fun creating your own Spring projects.

Now it's time to visit the wonderful Libby's blog and see what she has created for our blog hop this month. I hope you enjoy the rest of our creative journey.
