Welcome to the We Create In Color 2018-2020 Blog Hop. This month we are creating projects using products featuring these five wonderful, vibrant colors. Whether you choose to use them separately or together, there are so many wonderful possibilities to create amazing projects with these colors. As you travel along our blog hop this month, I hope that you will be inspired by our ideas.
I chose to use four of the five In Colors to create my two note cards. Using the Whisper White Narrow Note Cards & Envelopes (item #145583) that can be found in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog, I was able to create two different note cards using similar supplies. As you can see, these colors look wonderful paired together and the bold colors work well with the Butterfly Gala Bundle (item #150599) from the 2019 Occasions Catalog.
The first note card features Grapefruit Grove combined with Pineapple Punch. I used a piece of the Grapefruit Grove Designer Series Paper from the 2018-2020 In Color 6"x6" Designer Series Paper Pack (item #146963) and matted it with a piece of Pineapple Punch cardstock.
To create the butterflies, I stamped the butterfly images from the Butterfly Gala stamp set onto Pineapple Punch cardstock with Versamark ink and heat embossed them with Grapefruit Grove embossing powder. I then punched the butterflies out using the Butterfly Duet Punch and attached them to the designer series paper. I embellished them with Basic Rhinestones. The sentiment was stamped directly onto the note card using Versamark ink and heat embossed with Grapefruit Grove embossing powder. I stamped the envelope with the small butterfly image using Grapefruit Grove Classic ink.
My second note card was created similar to the first design, but this time I used Blueberry Bushel Designer Series Paper and I matted it with Lovely Lipstick cardstock. I stamped the butterfly images onto Lovely Lipstick cardstock with Versamark ink and heat embossed them using the Blueberry Bushel embossing powder. I love that you can get all the In Colors embossing powders in one set (item #146955). I stamped the sentiment onto the note card using Versamark in and heat embossed it with Lovely Lipstick embossing powder. To decorate the envelope, I used Blueberry Bushel Classic ink to stamp the small butterflies.
I love that you can create these simple note cards using just a few supplies to create beautiful, vibrant cards. It is fun to explore with the different color combinations and I love that the In Colors have coordinating products to make creating projects so easy.
