It's time for the February We Create Blushing Blog Hop and this month we have been challenged to use shades of Pinks and Reds for our projects. You will be visiting Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world as they share their creations to help inspire you.
For my card design, I chose to focus on shades of pink using Lovely Lipstick and Blushing Bride and added gold accents for a touch of elegance. The stamp set I chose is the beautiful Dear Doily stamp set from the 2019 Occasions Catalog and I just love the amazing detail in these images and the beautiful sentiments that are included.
For the card base, I chose to use the Gold Foil Edged cards with the coordinating envelopes (item #147901). I am so happy these cards carried over from the 2018 Holiday Catalog because they are so versatile and fun to use.
I added a layer of Lovely Lipstick cardstock to the card base and topped it with a layer of Blushing Bride cardstock that I stamped with the large and medium sized doily images using Lovely Lipstick and Blushing Bride Classic ink pads. The gold accents were created by stamping the sentiment and smaller doily image with Versamark ink and heat embossing the images using Gold embossing powder onto Blushing Bride cardstock. I punched out these accents and popped them up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
To finish off the card design, I added Basic Rhinestones that I colored with the Dark Lovely Lipstick Stampin' Blends Marker to add to the center of the stamped doily images as well as the plain Basic Rhinestones around the doily surrounding the sentiment.
I stamped the envelope flap and the front of the envelope with the doily images using the Lovely Lipstick and Blushing Bride Classic ink pads to coordinate with the card. I love the vintage feel the doilies give this card design. It is a wonderful stamp set for creating a Wow card design with just paper, ink, stamps and a little bling.
