Colour Combo March Blog Hop

It's time for the Colour Combo March Blog Hop and this month we will be creating with Daffodil Delight, Basic Black and Pear Pizzazz. Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all over the world are sharing their creative projects with this color combination to inspire you. You may have just visited Lisa's blog or perhaps you are starting here on your creative journey.

For this month's color combination I was inspired to use the stamp set, You're Inspiring, from the 2018 Occasions Catalog. After all, when using the color Daffodil Delight, why not feature beautiful daffodils. This beautiful stamp set has two amazing images along with a variety of sentiments that make this a very versatile stamp set.

I created this card using Daffodil Delight cardstock for the card base and I added a layer of Pear Pizzazz cardstock that I embossed using the Layered Leaves 3D Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing folder (item #143704) to add texture and dimension to the card. Using the Layering Circles Framelits dies (item #141705), I die cut a large circle from Whisper White cardstock and the largest scalloped circle from Basic Black cardstock to create a matte. I stamped the large daffodil image onto the Whisper White cardstock circle with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and then colored the images with Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blend markers and the Light Old Olive Stampin' Blend marker (this was the closest color to Pear Pizzazz). I then layered these circles onto one of the  Delicate White Doilies (item #141701) and attached it to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. For a touch of shimmer, I lightly colored parts of the daffodils with Clear Wink of Stella to finish off the card. I decided not to add a sentiment to this card as I felt that the card was complete without one.
This color combination is perfect for Spring cards and I love that this stamp set works beautifully for birthdays, Easter and Mother's Day. I hope that my card will inspire you to try your own creation using these wonderful colors.

Until Next Time.
