Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop - Sale-a-bration & Occasions Catalog

Welcome to the New Year with the first Global Stamping Friends Blog Hop for 2018. This month we are focusing on Sale-a-bration and the brand New 2018 Occasions Catalog.  You have probably just visited Libby's wonderful blog or perhaps this is your first stop. Either way you will hopefully have a wonderful journey on this blog hop.

There are so many amazing new products and the opportunity to earn Free Exclusive products during Sale-a-bration with a qualifying order. I am excited to share with you some of my favorite products and hopefully inspire you to get creative with my projects.

One of my favorite Sale-a-bration stamp sets is Epic Celebrations. When I first saw this stamp set I immediately thought "Teenagers".  Creating cards for teenagers can be very challenging, so when I saw this stamp set that I knew I had to get it.  As you can see, this stamp set works well for both boys and girls, which makes it even more appealing.

For the masculine version of this card, I chose Night of Navy cardstock for my card base and Marina Mist for the card base. I embossed the Marina Mist cardstock with the Scattered Sequins Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, which can be found on page 13 of the New 2018 Occasions Catalog. It added a little texture to the card base and then I used the dots image from the stamp set and embossed them with Copper embossing powder for a grunge look.  The sneakers were stamped with Tuxedo Black Momento ink and I colored them with the New Stampin' Blends on Whisper White cardstock. I cut out the circle with the Stitched Shapes Framelits and framed it with a Night of Navy cardstock scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Framelits. The sentiment is also from this stamp set and I embossed it with Silver embossing powder to finish off the card. I also added a little Wink of Stella to the sneakers for a little sparkle.

For the girls version of this card, I chose Thick Whisper White cardstock for the card base and Sweet Sugarplum for the layer of the card and also for the circle. I embossed half of the Sweet Sugarplum layer with one of the Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing Folders for a little texture, without being too girly. I heat embossed the sneaker image with Whisper White embossing powder and lightly sponged it with Sweet Sugarplum Classic ink to distress it. I framed the image with a scalloped circle of Rich Razzleberry cardstock. I added a piece of Whisper White 1/4" Organza ribbon as a border across the middle of the card and embossed the sentiment, also from this stamp set, with Whisper White embossing powder. To finish off the card, I added Basic Rhinestones to the card front for a little sparkle.

Don't you just love a stamp set that can be this versatile? I am looking forward to using the other images in this stamp set soon. I hope that you will give it a try too.  You can earn this stamp set with an order of $50 during Sale-a-bration. Contact me to learn more about Sale-a-bration and how you can earn Free products.
