Welcome to the 2018 Sale-a-bration Kick Off Blog Hop. This wonderful blog hop features Stampin' Up! demonstrators from all around the world, with projects from the New 2018 Occasions Catalog and 2018 Sale-a-bration Catalog. You have probably just visited Jamie and been inspired by her blog or maybe this is your first stop.
I am so excited to share with you the cards I created using new products from the 2018 Occasions Catalog and 2018 Sale-a-bration Catalog. As a demonstrator, one of the perks is being able to order products from the new catalogs before they launch, which then gives us the opportunity to create projects to share and inspire you. You are going to love the amazing products and ideas shared on this blog hop.
There are so many wonderful products that it was difficult to choose, so I narrowed it down to 2 of the new exclusive Sale-a-bration stamp sets that will be available to earn Free, starting tomorrow, January 3rd, with a qualifying order. I also chose several new products from the Occasions Catalog that coordinate to help create beautiful cards for every day occasions.
My first card was created with the new Lots of Lavender photopolymer stamp set. I love the versatility of this stamp set and I couldn't wait to heat emboss the main image with Silver Embossing powder onto Elegant Eggplant cardstock. I just love the way the silver pops against the dark purple. I chose the sentiment from the Lovely Wishes photopolymer stamp set from the new Occasions catalog. This stamp set is also filled with amazing images, but we will save it for another blog post.
The card base was created with Sweet Sugarplum cardstock and I also used it as a matte for the Elegant Eggplant panel. I embossed the layer of Elegant Eggplant cardstock using one of the new Petal Pair Textured Impressions Embossing folders from the Occasions catalog. I loved the texture that the vine embossing added to the card. As a finishing touch, I used the new Whisper White 1/4" Organza Ribbon, which can also be found in the Occasions catalog.
This card design would be great for Valentine's Day, a birthday or just to let someone know how much you care.
My second card was created using the new Heartfelt Blooms stamp set. This stamp set is amazing and I can't believe how much detail there is in just one stamp. This stamp set is perfect for making backgrounds so that is what I chose to do for this card. I thought this design would be perfect to make a set of Thank You cards to give as a gift.
I chose to use Flirty Flamingo for my card base and used Flirty Flamingo Classic ink to stamp the floral image on a layer of Whisper White cardstock. I heat embossed the sentiment, which is one of 3 in this stamp set, with Gold embossing powder. I once again chose the Whisper White 1/4" Organza Ribbon to embellish this card along with some small Basic Rhinestones. I love the softness of this card and you could change the colors and sentiment to suit your occasion.
I hope my cards have helped inspire you to explore the wonderful products in the new Occasions and Sale-a-bration catalogs. With the start of a New Year, now is the perfect time to plan your creative projects and indulge in a little creative therapy to help you through the winter months.
