ICS May Blog Hop Introducing the 2024-2026 In Colors

Welcome to the ICS May Blog Hop and this month we are showcasing the new 2024-2026 In Colors released this month. Our wonderful Design Team is excited to share their projects and ideas featuring these beautiful colors to help spark your creativity. The new 2024-2026 In Colors are Pretty In Pink, Peach Pie, Petunia Pop, Shy Shamrock and Summer Splash and they are perfect for Spring and Summer projects.
One of my favorite things to do with the new In Colors is to use them all together to create a fun design. For this card, I chose to use the Trusty Tools stamp set and coordinating Trusty Tools Dies to create a colorful paint brush themed design. I used each of the colors from the 2024-2026 In Colors Classic Stampin' Pads Bundle to create splashes of color onto the embossed Basic White card front. I love how the swirled background looks like painted wall with that wonderful texture. This card design can be used for a variety of occasions to help celebrate how awesome someone is.

For this card design, I wanted to showcase how well the 5 In Colors looked together. The paint brushes from the Trusty Tools stamp set were a perfect way to display these beautiful colors. I stamped each of the handles and paint on the brushes using each of the colors and die cut them out with the coordinating dies. To give the impression of paint splattered along the bottom of the card front, I stamped the large splatter image from the Latte Love stamp set in each of the colors and then I embossed the card front using the So Swirly Embossing Folder. Using Linen Thread, I wrapped a piece around the bottom of the card front twice and tied a knot on the left side. I attached the paint brushes onto the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals, in order of the paint splatters across the bottom, alternating the direction of the brushes. For the sentiment, I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto the Basic White label and then stamped the splatters in Pretty in Pink, Peach Pie and Summer Splash, making sure to stamp off once for each color to give it a softer more muted look. I attached the sentiment onto the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals, centering it over the Linen Thread. I attached the card front to the Basic Black card base and then added several of the Resin Dots to complete the design. I love how fun and cheerful this design looks and I think it would be great for people of all ages.
