Welcome to the Stamping Inkspiration January Blog Hop with our first sketch challenge for the year with a twist. We have also been challenged to add a little shimmer and shine to our designs to help add a touch of sparkle to our projects. You will be visiting with our talented Design Team as they share their amazing projects and ideas to help inspire you.
Here is the sketch for this month's challenge:
For my card design, I chose to use the new Brilliant Rainbows Dies to create this uplifting design. I love the bright, cheerful colors and with some simple paper piecing, I was able to create a colorful rainbow to create the focal image. The border at the bottom of the sketch was created with the Basic Borders Dies using the Clouds Border to tie in with the rainbow theme. For my touch of shimmer, I added Clear Wink of Stella to the clouds at the bottom of the rainbow and along the edge of the cloud border.

Square - 3 1/4" x 3 1/4"
Balmy Blue Cardstock
Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"
Focal Square - 3" x 3"
Basic White Cardstock
2" x 4" Strip - die cut with Basic Borders Dies
Clouds die cut with Brilliant Rainbow Dies
Sentiment Label die cut with Bouquet of Love Hybrid Embossing Folder (Dies)
This card design is all about the die cuts. I used the Brilliant Rainbows Dies to create the opening for the rainbow in the Balmy Blue cardstock square and then I die cut rainbows in all the colors to piece the rainbow together. For the clouds, I die cut two of each size and colored them with Clear Wink of Stella and adhered two to the base of each side of the rainbow and then added the other two smaller clouds with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to overlap and add dimension. For the border across the bottom, I die cut a 2" strip of Basic White cardstock with the Cloud Border Die from the Basic Borders Dies and colored the edge with Clear Wink of Stella. I adhered the border to the base of the Balmy Blue card front. For the focal image, I added it to the card front with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, towards the center. For the sentiment, I stamped the image onto the sentiment label with Misty Moonlight Classic ink and added it to the bottom right side of the square. For a touch of bling, I added three of the clear rain drops from the Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials.
