ICS Blog Hop Thinking of You

Welcome to the ICS February Blog Hop as we explore the theme of Thinking Of You. This can include Get Well, Sympathy, Thinking of You and other sentiments to let the people you care about know that you are thinking of them. I hope our projects will help inspire you to send some love to the people in your life.
For today's card design, I chose to create a cheerful Spring themed card using the So Sentimental Bundle (item #153828) from the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog, paired with the new Sending Flowers Dies (item #153589) from the Coordination Product Release. (When you order the So Sentimental Bundle, you can save 10%.) This die set also coordinates with the Sale-a-bration stamp set, Sending You Thoughts (item #152297), which you can earn Free during Sale-a-bration with a qualifying $50 order. I loved that the Spring flowers created by the dies made a perfect Get Well card design.
To create the Spring feel of this card, I chose to use Seaside Spray cardstock for the card base and added a layer of Very Vanilla cardstock that I then die cut the main floral image from the Sending Flowers Dies. I lightly sponged the stems and leaves of the die cut image using Soft Sea Foam Classic ink with a Sponge Dauber. For the array of flowers, I chose to die cut the flowers in the die set using So Saffron, Purple Posy, Balmy Blue and Blushing Bride cardstock.
I attached the Very Vanilla cardstock layer to the card base with a combination of Stampin' Dimensionals and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up and add dimension. I used the Mini Stampin' Dimensionals behind the flowers to provide stability. Using Snail Adhesive, I attached the different styles and colors of flowers on top of the Very Vanilla cardstock layer to create the look of a field of Spring flowers. The combination of pastel colors creates a soft and pretty look to the design. To add a touch of bling, I added Basic Rhinestones to the center of the flowers.
The sentiment was created by stamping the image from the So Sentimental stamp set (item #151691) with Versamark onto a scrap of Blushing Bride cardstock and heat embossing it with Silver Embossing Powder. I die cut the sentiment using one of the dies from the coordinating Stitched So Sweetly Dies (item #151690). I then attached this label onto a label punched out of Soft Sea Foam cardstock using the Story Label Punch (item #150076) from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog, using Stampin' Dimensionals. I attached the layered sentiment label to the card front with Snail Adhesive. This clean and simple card design is sure to cheer up someone who is feeling under the weather.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my card design will inspire you to explore creating your own cards to share with the people you love. It's amazing the difference that a hand made card or gift can make.
