Paper Pumpkin Possibilities September Blog Hop Spooky Treats

Welcome to the Paper Pumpkin Possibilities September Blog Hop as we showcase fun alternative projects using the Spooky Treats Kit. Our wonderful Design Team Members will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to think outside the box to create your own beautiful projects with this kit. 

This wonderful kit has so many possibilities and it was tough deciding which alternative to share with you today. The treat boxes are so cute and can be altered in so many ways for a variety of occasions, beyond Halloween. For my alternative project, I decided to share a card design that focuses on using a couple of the elements from the kit along with images from the exclusive stamp set and combined them with the Bewitching Bundle from the July-December 2022 Mini Catalog. For the colors, I chose to use Orchid Oasis, Fresh Freesia, Basic Black and Basic White with a touch of Silver embossing to step up the design.

Orchid Oasis is one of my favorite Stampin' Up! colors, so I was excited to create this card using this pretty color, combined with Fresh Freesia, to create pretty Halloween card. I heat embossed the stars from the exclusive stamp set, using Silver embossing powder, to decorate the top corners of the Orchid Oasis card front. For the witch's hat, I heat embossed the image with Silver embossing powder and punched the image out using the Witch Hat Builder Punch. To create the band for the hat, I punched out a band from a scrap of Fresh Freesia Designer Series Paper in the Tea Boutique Designer Series Paper. I adhered it to the matching Black cardstock piece that was punched out with the Witch's hat, and then attached it to the hat to create depth and dimension. The detailed die cut "window frame" was trimmed from one of the Basic White covers in the kit, cutting along the fold lines one each side of the detailed panel. I attached it to the card front with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to pop it up. To decorate the "window", I attached one of the spider die cuts from the kit to the top right side with Mini Glue Dots included in the kit and I added the witch's hat to the bottom left corner using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. For the sentiment, I stamped the image from the exclusive stamp set using the Orchid Oasis ink spot included in the kit, onto the Fresh Freesia sentiment label die cut with the Stitched Rectangles Dies. To complete the card design, I added several Basic Rhinestone Jewels to the card front, in the gaps of the web, to create the look of stars shining through the window. I just love how this card turned out to create a fun alternative Halloween card.

Ink. Stamp. Share. September Monthly Blog Hop Color Challenge

 

Welcome to the Ink. Stamp. Share. September Monthly Blog Hop and this month we have a Color Challenge to share with you. Our talented Design Team Members will be sharing their projects and ideas to help inspire you to explore using these beautiful colors to create your own projects. We have been challenged to use at least three of the following colors: Blackberry Bliss, Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Polished Pink and Daffodil Delight to create our projects.

For my card design, I chose to use four of the five colors from this month's challenge to create a cute birthday card with the This Birthday Piggy Bundle. I am in love with this bundle and I am having so much fun coming up with fun card ideas using the stamp set and coordinating dies. The Playful Piggy Dies and the This Birthday Piggy Bundle are only available during the month of September, while supplies last, so if you fall in love with these piggies like I have, I suggest you order them soon to avoid disappointment. 

The colors I chose for my card design are: Parakeet Party, Tahitian Tide, Polished Pink, Daffodil Delight and I added a touch of Light Basic Black/Dark Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends Markers for the wheels on the scooter. This is such a bright and cheerful card design and I love the fun texture that the Tahitian Tide Designer Series Paper adds to the background.

The images and coordinating dies in the This Birthday Piggy Bundle, are perfect for creating cheerful and uplifting card designs. The colors for this challenge fit perfectly with this bundle and I had so much fun coloring the image using Stampin' Blends Markers in each of the colors. For the wheels of the scooter, I used Dark Smoky Slate and Light Basic Black. I gently sponged a little Parakeet Party Classic along the ground under the scooter, using a Sponge Dauber. To coordinate with the card base, I used Parakeet Party cardstock to create the circle layer for the focal image and also for the sentiment banner. I heat embossed the sentiment with White embossing powder and I added two small Polished Pink flowers with Basic Rhinestone Jewels in the centers, to embellish the sentiment label. the little yellow bird was a fun die that was in the Playful Piggy Dies and I just had to add him to the birthday banner to complete the card design. A little Clear Wink of Stella was added to the confetti and to the lights and centers of the wheels for a touch of sparkle.

Gingham Cottage Designer Series Paper

Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"

This sweet birthday card was so much fun to create and I love that the coordinating dies made cutting out the stamped pig image so much easier. There were so many other dies that I could have used to embellish this card, but I decided to keep the design clean and simple. I used Stampin' Blends Markers to color the pig, balloon and birthday cake images. For the background of the Basic White square, I gently added some Balmy Blue Classic ink with a Blending Brush to create a soft background. I added the die cut pig image to the square with Stampin' Dimensionals and then attached the square to the large Smoky Slate square. For the sentiment, I heat embossed the image with White embossing powder. To assemble the card, I attached the designer series paper to the card base and then added both the focal square and sentiment with Stampin' Dimensionals. To embellish the design, I added several small white Classic Matte Dots to the sentiment label and colored the balloon and birthday cake with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush. I love the subtle sparkle it adds to the design without being overwhelming. This cheerful birthday card is simple to create and is sure to brighten someone's special day. I can't wait to create more fun projects with this wonderful bundle.

Stamping With Friends September Blog Hop Blogger's Choice - Annual Catalog

Welcome to the Stamping With Friends September Blog Hop as we explore the wonderful products in the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog with a Blogger's Choice theme. We will be sharing our projects and ideas to help inspire you to create your own beautiful projects with these amazing products.

Summer is almost over and we begin the transition to a new season. For my card design today, I wanted to create a card that showcased the beautiful Nature's Harvest stamp set and coordinating Harvest Dies, to create a design that shows that transition into Fall. The colors I chose to use are Old Olive, Cajun Craze and Whisper White and I added texture using the Timeworn Type 3D embossing folder to add a rustic feel to the design. The background paper is a design from the Design A Daydream Designer Series Paper, which is a Host Reward you can earn for Free with a qualifying order or party. This design works well for a variety of occasions and by changing the color combination, you can personalize the look and feel of the card.

Design A Daydream Designer Series Paper

Card Front - 5 1/4" x 4"

This pretty card design is a wonderful combination of color and texture and I love how it all came together. For the background, I used a piece of the Design A Daydream Designer Series Paper to add some contrast and texture to the design.  The Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder was used to add texture to the tags and the side panel on the card front and I added Pear Pizzazz Classic ink to the embossed Basic White tag to give it some soft color using a Sponge Dauber. For the Old Olive side panel, I sponged the embossed areas with Old Olive Classic ink to bring out the texture and add dimension to the design. The tags were tied together using a piece of the Gold Satin Edged Ribbon and the Party Parakeet Metallic Woven Ribbon to step up the card design. The floral image was colored with Stampin' Blends Markers and die cut with the Harvest Dies. For a touch of bling, I added Gold Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots to finish off the design.
