PPP February Blog Hop Lovely Day

It's time to hop along with the PPP February Blog Hop as we feature alternative project ideas using the Lovely Day kit. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! Demonstrators as they share their ideas to help inspire you to think outside the box.
Today I am sharing two alternative card designs using the stamp set from the kit. I chose to use the Very Vanilla Notecards and envelopes (item #144236) to show examples of Simple Stamping. One of the designs features the beautiful floral image and a sentiment while the other shows how to create a masculine card design using the cake images and a sentiment.
For the first card design, I stamped the card front with the large floral image using Rococo Rose Classic ink in the center and then stamped the sentiment in the top right corner. I used the Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Watercolor Pencils from the Watercolor Pencils set (item #141709) to color the image and then used Clear Wink of Stella over the top to blend the colors for a watercolor look and to add a touch of shimmer.
To decorate the envelope, I stamped the back flap with the smaller floral image using Rococo Rose Classic ink to create a background pattern. This simple design can be used for a variety of occasions and the floral image could be colored with a variety of colors to change the look of the card design.
For my second alternative card design, I chose to use Balmy Blue and Pacific Point Classic ink pads to create a background pattern on the card front. Using the 3 lines image, I alternated the direction of the stamp and colors to create a geometric look. I repeated the same pattern with the same colors on the back flap of the envelope to coordinate with the card. For the focal image, I stamped the cake design onto Very Vanilla cardstock with Pacific Point Classic ink and used the 3 line stamp with Balmy Blue Classic ink to color the cake design. I punched out the image using the 2 1/4" Circle Punch (item #143720) and attached it to the front of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals. The sentiment was also stamped with Pacific Point Classic ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock and I punched it out using the Classic Label Punch (item #141491). I attached the label to the card front with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals and added two small Basic Rhinestones for a touch of bling.
The stamp set in this kit provides so many wonderful options for creating wonderful alternative card designs just by varying the colors you use and experimenting with image combinations. By varying the sentiments, you can create cards for a variety of occasions to send to the people you love.

3D Paper Trimmer February Blog Hop Sale-a-bration

Welcome to the 3D Paper Trimmer February Blog Hop as we showcase projects using the Stampin' Up! Paper Trimmer with products from the 2020 Sale-a-bration Catalog. You will be visiting with Stampin' Up! Demonstrators as they share ideas to help inspire you. I hope you enjoy our blog hop this month.
Thank you for taking the time to visit my blog today. I hope that my project helps inspire you to explore new ways to create with you Paper Trimmer.
My project for today's blog hop is a simple Z Fold card created using the beautiful Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper (item #152284) along with  Lovely Lily Pad stamp set (item #152288) and coordinating Lily Pad Dies (item #152315). All of these amazing Sale-a-bration products can be earned Free with a qualifying order during Sale-a-bration. All the cutting and scoring I have done to create this Z Fold card design, was done with the Stampin' Up! Paper Trimmer (item #152392).
For my card design, I used Blackberry Bliss cardstock cut at 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" and scored at 1 1/4" and 4 1/4". I added two pieces of one of the pretty papers from the Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper - one measuring 5 1/2" x 3" and the other 5 1/2" x 1 1/4".  I attached the larger piece to along side the 1 1/4" fold with Snail Adhesive and attached the smaller piece on the reverse side of the card along the edge of the card.
To create the front sentiment panel, I cut a piece of Pretty Peacock cardstock 3" x3" and added a panel of Whisper White cardstock cut at 2 3/4" x 2 3/4". I heat embossed the sentiment from the So Sentimental stamp set (item # 151691) from the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog, using Silver Embossing Powder and embellished it with two of the Melon Mambo Rhinestones from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones (item #149494).
For the inside panel, I cut a piece of Whisper White cardstock at 2 1/2" x 5" and attached it to the card base using Snail Adhesive. On a scrap of Whisper White cardstock, I stamped the outline image of the lily with Melon Mambo Classic ink and the solid image with Flirty Flamingo Classic ink. For the lily pad, I stamped the outline with Bermuda Bay Classic ink and the solid image with Coastal Cabana Classic ink. I die cut both images using the coordinating dies in the Lily Pad dies and attached them to the bottom of the panel using Snail Adhesive.
This pretty fun fold is a wonderful way to showcase these beautiful Sale-a-bration products to create a card for that special someone. If you would like to see the video that inspired my card design, please click here to watch the video by fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, Patty Bennett, as she shows step by step how to create the Z Fold.
